Get Wusik 4000 Free FREE Until June 1st (Facebook Required)

Wusik.com is giving away unlimited free copies of their Wusik 4000 virtual modular synthesizer (VST/AU for PC and Mac) on their Facebook page. The offer ends on May 1st (now extended by June 1st).

First of all, please note that having a Facebook account is necessary in order to get this freebie. You will also need a valid email address, as well as a bit of patience because there’s a 72 hour waiting period for license delivery/activation. So, if you’re still reading this article, her’s how you can download your free copy of Wusik 4000:

  1. Visit the Facebook post linked in the download section below and Like + Share it using your FB account.
  2. Like Wusik.com’s Facebook page as well.
  3. Send a message (via Facebook) to Wusik.com, asking them for a free Wusik 4000 license. The message should also include a valid email address.
  4. After up to 72 hours, you will receive the download link via email.

Wusik 4000 is normally priced at $99.95, although it is also bundled as a freebie with all Wusik Station V8 licenses (Wusik Station V8 is Wusik.com’s forthcoming flagship virtual instrument). Being a rather complex semi-modular virtual instrument, Wusik 4000 probably won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. It’s not a plug and play type of instrument that you’d normally reach for if you need to cook up a quick synth patch. But if you like having the option of experimenting with virtually unlimited modulation possibilities, or if you fancy developing your own custom coded modules (yes, Wusik 4000 offers an open source module SDK to support this), then this is definitely something you might want to check out.

I don’t want to go too much into detail regarding Wusik 4000’s features here, so I’ll just mention a couple of highlights. My absolute favorite feature here is the plugin’s capability to play SFZ, WAV and AIFF files (along with Wusik’s own WusikSND and W4kSND formats). This feature can be used for loading anything from single cycle waveforms to one shots and audio loops, which is definitely something that audio manglers out there will appreciate. Another feature I really liked is Wusik 4000’s rather elaborate built-in patch manager which supports all sorts of tags and custom fields for organizing and storing your presets in a convenient way.

A big shout out to our reader tsigoulas for letting me know about this freebie offer. Thanks for the support!

  1. Guys one more thing – send direct message to Wusik using message box on Facebook instead of sending (and showing to the world) your email as message reply/comment in section under the thread.

Maybe it will be better for others
For me it crashes my DAW and a VST host I use
Most of the presets don’t work
Again this is my experience yours may be different

  3. I didn’t tried the synth yet, just finished installation, and boy it is bad. In the dialog window it asked me only for one plugin folder, and by default it was my VST2 32 bit folder. So naturally I thought that this synth is 32 bit only, but seeing 64 bit tag on this post, I decided to double check. Turned out it put all plugins (VST2 32, VST2 64, VST3 32 and VST3 64) into the same folder.

    • It sounds very good tho. As George said, most of the stock presets are silent, but there are some cool additional libraries can be downloaded. I really need to dig into controls, this thing is capable of many things.

  4. A little disappointed. Followed the instructions exactly about 4 days ago and they never sent me anything. Probably wouldn’t do business with this company in the future if they can’t even honor their word on their free offers.

I’m sure most people have gotten their download from them. I’ll most likely try again but whoever is going through the facebook messages seems to have skipped over mine.. possibly a few others as well.

    • Hey Luke, sorry to hear that… You just have to understand that Wusik (what you call a company) is just one guy (William Kalfelz) .William is such a nice guy, talented and very generous comparing to other developers out there. Give him a few more days, or send him another FB message, or even open a ticket at wusik.com, I’m 100% sure that he is going to take care of you. Wusik is such a small (company) and unfortunately after the post here, there servers went bananas, William didn’t expect that much traffic and he already posted that on FB with his apologies. By the way Wusik 4000 is a Beast!!

      • Actually they got right to me with the link and everything. Sorry about that. very cool offer and i’m very greatfull

Greetings Tomislav my friend, Thank you for the heads up on such a great offer and as always all the hard work You put into BPB along with the fellow audio folk that have a keen eye and an ear to the ground so that nothing is missed, I is as you know, So greatly appreciated.

I’ve not had chance to checkout in-depth your visit to this year’s musikmesse, I hope that and am almost certain You will have had a great time along with meeting some first class people. I’m looking forwards to going through all your coverage when I can do :D

I totalled my laptop which left me without interwebz access for a good few weeks (typical me really and my great luck). All the best your way as always
