Little PrimalTap - Free Delay VST Plugin By SoundToys (No iLok)

SoundToys has released Little PrimalTap, a free (for a limited time) delay effect for Windows and Mac based on the classic Prime Time hardware digital delay unit from the 70s.

Inspired by the classic Prime Time* from 1978, Little PrimalTap captures the highly distinctive sonic imprint of this quirky, and well-loved (by those in the know) vintage digital delay. Don’t be fooled by it’s simple interface, Little PrimalTap lets you unleash your creative urges to echo, loop, warp, distort, mangle, or create cacophonous cascades of otherworldly sounds.

Little PrimalTap is available for free download via SoundToys (32-bit & 64-bit VST/AU plugin format for Windows & Mac).

Finally a couple of words about the plugin. Little PrimalTap is a faithful recreation of Prime Time by Lexicon, a well known digital delay effect from the 70s. The SoundToys freebie copies all the design quirks of the original unit, primarily the cool sample reduction controls which can lead to great sounding soundscapes when the feedback is pushed above a certain limit.
