Talented 20 year old Swedish producer Deficio has released Deficio Riser Pack, a free collection of riser sound effect samples in WAV format.
In my opinion you will get the best result with these if you layer them and do some EQing (the highs may be a bit harsh in the early ones). I’m planning on doing 25 NEW good ones, all in 16 bars but it will take some time, will post here when I’m done!

Deficio is somewhat of a rising star in the house music scene and it’s needless to say that the sound effects provided in this sample pack sound pretty awesome. There are 30 riser sounds in the pack, ready to load up and drop in your tune.
On one hand, it’s true that building your own sound effects such as risers, swooshes, etc. is incredibly easy and fun. It will help you achieve a signature sound and make your tunes stand out from the rest. On the other hand, it can’t hurt to have a decent pack of sound effects on your hard drive, ready to fire up while you’re sketching out a new track. It’s also interesting to hear what other sound designers are doing with their SFX sounds and get ideas from that.
Generally speaking, my advice is to build your own sounds and use your own sound effects in your music, but having a decent set of samples provided from other producers can help you get inspired and take your sound design in a new direction. This riser pack is definitely a recommended download, featuring a nice selection of free sound effects at zero cost.
