Beat Magazine has announced that all of their Facebook fans now have access to the brand new version of the Beat Studio plugin collection. The most exciting part of the new pack is Geist LE which is a lightweight version of FXpansion’s flagship drum sequencer and sampler instrument.
The official announcement and the Facebook page containing the download links are both written in German. Here’s an approximate translation of the announcement:
Beat Studio contains Geist Lite, Dune LE and Zampler, free for all. We have a valuable plug-in pack for beginners and professionals available exclusively for our Facebook fans in the Beat Studio section.
If you want to get into digital music production, it is good to get equipped with the drum sampler Gheist LE, the virtual analogue hybrid synthesizer Dune LE and the SFZ sample player Zampler RX. Your password and serial number are available on Serial Center for our Facebook page fans. Spread the word!
Beat Studio has been around for quite a while and I’ve often mentioned it on BPB as a very cool starter collection of VST plugins. The coolest parts of the old collection were Dune LE and the awesome Aalto Solo modular synthesizer. Of course, Zampler RX is another brilliant instrument, powered by new exclusive free sample libraries which are released every month.
Now, for the first time ever, everyone can get the amazing Geist LE drum sampler for free. It was previously reserved for people who purchase the magazine, but all you have to do now is to become a fan of Beat Magazine on Facebook and generate your free serial number at the FXpansion website.
Here’s how to do it:
- Visit Beat Magazine on Facebook and hit the Like button. (linked below)
- Download the Beat Studio pack.
- Visit Serial Center and register your Beat Studio copy. (thanks Aidan!)
- Check your email and confirm your registration.
- Create a user account at the FXpansion website and log in.
- Open your Beat Studio confirmation email.
- Click the link in the email to register your free copy of Geist LE.
- It will be added to your user account automatically, along with a serial number.
- The confirmation email from step 6 also contains the password for the ZIP file.
On a related note, Beat Magazine has recently published a special issue designed for upcoming DJs and beginner producers. The issue is titled Beat Workzone – DJ & Producer Starter Kit and it features 42 pieces of software, including One DJ Start, Virtual DJ Home 7, Magix Music Maker 2014 Silver, Mixxx, MJ Studio, 8Kut, Digijay, etc. The issue is priced at €9.90 in the Falkemedia Online Shop.
