Free MFreeformPhase Phase Adjustment VST/AU Plugin Released

MeldaProduction has released a new freeware VST/AU/AAX plugin called MFreeformPhase, designed for adjusting the phase of individual frequencies on a particular track to remove any phasing issues in a mix.

A tool suitable for adjusting the phase of individual frequencies either on single audio tracks or instrument busses is a convenient thing indeed to have in your mixing arsenal. This functionality can be particularly useful if you are doing multitrack live recordings with several microphones, or even if you have an electronic track with layered synths. It can also work wonders on layered acoustic guitar and vocal tracks in your bedroom studio, or in any other situation where phase cancellation and comb-filtering can become an issue.

MFreeformPhase features an XY display with frequency on the horizontal axis and phase on the vertical. By pressing your left mouse button, you can draw in any frequency response you want on the graph, with 0 on the vertical being no change, and any other number representing a change in phase. MFreeformPhase has all the necessary meters and extended functionality to handle mono and stereo signals, as well as up to 8 channels of surround audio (if your DAW supports it). The plugin is also optimized for minimal CPU and GPU usage and supports the newer AVX capable processors.
