Freakshow Industries has introduced Dumpster Fire, an advanced pitch shifting tool in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin formats for digital audio workstations on PC and Mac.
Featuring the same pricing model as Freakshow Industries’ previously released Backmask plugin, Dumpster Fire is priced at $20 with the option to pay less or even download it completely free of charge (aka “steal” it). In other words, this is pretty much the “pay what you want” pricing model spiced up with Freakshow Industries’ unique sense of humor and lighthearted approach to marketing.

It is a pitch shifting tool that was designed to be more extreme and fun to use than most of the other similar offerings on the market. This is the type of effect that can hardly sound boring. Feed whatever type of audio through it, anything from a drum beat to a vocal, and you’ll surely be surprised by the sound on the output. You can use it on an FX send as a secret spice for layering on top of the clean signal, or as a track insert for the complete annihilation of the original audio source.
