ADSR Sounds offers the ANIMATE plugin by Mastering The Mix as a FREE download with any purchase this month.

ANIMATE helps you inject life into your mixes in a precise, versatile, and colorful way. And now, during November, you can get ANIMATE by Mastering The Mix for FREE with any purchase at ADSR Sounds.

The software features four different movement modes, namely Expand, Punch, Ignite, and Grow.

The Expand mode allows you to dial in a pristinely clean-sounding upward expansion. It works by increasing the volume of signals exceeding the threshold, giving your audio more dynamic range transparently.

In a nutshell, it works exactly the opposite way of traditional compressors we are used to, as their process is called downward compression.

The Punch mode enhances the transients of your audio to help them bite through the mix.

ANIMATE gives you control over L/R or M/S processing, the amount of processing applied, and the isolated frequencies you want to be addressed by the effect in use. This means you’ve got plenty of control, making it an ideal tool for mastering.

You can learn more about mixing and mastering in our tutorial.

Let’s say you want to subtly accentuate the high-frequency transients in the mid-channel of your master: Punch mode can perfectly handle the task.

The Ignite mode allows you to dial in rich harmonic distortion dynamically based on the input signal. This processor can increase the perceived loudness, power, and presence of the audio source without the pumping effects of a compressor.

That’s usually the benefit of implementing saturation in your mixes and masters, and it’s a process I honestly can’t live without.

Finally, let’s briefly talk about the Grow mode.

This fourth mode lets you increase the width of the selected frequencies using a psychoacoustic precedence effect. It can also be applied dynamically so that only the signal surpassing the threshold is widened.

You can think of this effect as an advanced Haas effect to achieve a new realm of movement to inject into your music.

Overall, ANIMATE is a great tool and can be useful for a variety of mixing and mastering tasks.

One of its main strengths is its modern and user-friendly interface, along with its interactive tooltips to quickly get your head around each control.

Talking about the visual feedback, the frequencies of the signal will glow, giving you a better idea of where to set the filter bands.

ANIMATE is available for both Windows and macOS 64-bit systems in AU, VST2, VST3, and AAX formats.
