Pulsar Audio Releases Primavera Spring Reverb Plugin (40% OFF Intro Price)

1

Pulsar Audio released the Primavera 6-in-1 spring reverb plugin. It’s currently available for $59, which is 40% off the list price of $99.

This introductory deal for the Mac and Windows release ends on April 22.

Primavera offers six spring reverb physical models. Pulsar Audio describes its latest product as “the metallic and warm grit of springs in a feature-packed plugin.”

Spring verbs shaped the sound of popular music throughout the 1950s through to the 1970s, providing a warm and organic character.

However, not everyone has hundreds of dollars to splash on a spring-verb hardware unit, so Pulsar aims to deliver the same timeless sound in a more convenient and affordable package.

Pulsar states that the Primavera covers sonic territory “from lo-fi to hi-fi, each tank precisely emulates the original units’ electronic and mechanical behavior. Furthermore, exclusive spring tension and excitation controls offer a wider sound palette than typical convolution models.”

The plugin features a full reverb chain, including saturation, filters, presence, and ducking controls, allowing you to get that satisfying twangy tone in seconds.

The Pulsar Primavera comes packed with hundreds of presets, allowing you to jump in and get your feet wet quickly.

They weren’t made by the work experience kid either, as Pulsar tapped Platinum and Gold-certified producers such as Craig Bauer and Matt Sim to design the presets.

Pulsar Audio nailed the interface, which has a gorgeous vintage design that clearly lays out the controls into three sections. They also animated springs that move as you run the plugin, which is satisfying to watch as well as providing useful feedback on how the parameters interact with the springs.

The developer recently launched a brief demo video of the Primavera in action on their YouTube channel, as well as a walkthrough video that shows how the plugin parameters work in-depth, as well as providing wet and dry samples.

Primavera is compatible with the following plugin formats: AAX, AU, VST 2.4 and VST 3.

Pulsar lists the plugin as running on Windows 7 or newer and Mac OS 10.9 or newer.

The operating system is listed as being 64-bit only for both Windows and Mac. However further down the page the developer then somewhat confusingly lists the Windows release as being available for both 32 and 64 bits on AAX, VST 2.4 and VST 3 (with AU being 64-bit only).
