IK Multimedia’s T-RackS 5 V2 is currently available for $40 at Audio Plugin Deals, which is 80% off the list price of $200.
T-RackS 5 V2 is a 64-bit only mastering suite for Mac and PC in AU, VST 2, VST 3, and AAX formats.
Note that the 80% off deal is only available on the Audio Plugin Deals website, not at the IK Multimedia website.
The T-RackS 5 V2’s distributor says the “powerful mastering suite is your one-stop shop for achieving professional-sounding results.”
The suite includes 22 processors, including EQs, limiters, compressors, saturation units, tape machines, and more.
The distributor says this array of options allows you to “Refine your sound with surgical precision or add subtle warmth and character – the choice is yours.”
The processors are modelled on classic analogue mixing and mastering gear.
To achieve this, T-RackS 5 V2 integrates SCC technology and IK Multimedia’s DSM technology to provide “the most realistic software emulation of vintage gear to date.”
All the processors are available as individual plugins, or the T-RackS 5 V2 shell allows you to chain together up to 16 processors .
T-RackS 5 V2 can operate as a standalone DAW or integrate into your existing DAW as a plugin.
You can also use the suite to create complete songs and productions with the “intuitive” sequencing and assembly features.
IK Multimedia developed T-RackS 5 V2 to deliver “pristine audio quality” and to provide an “intuitive and user-friendly interface.”
The workflow is designed to allow beginners or experienced engineers to streamline their mastering process, and get the results they want fast.
Ease of use features include full chain visualization, style-based presets, one-click single module or chain bypass, the compare function and more.
To deliver on the audio front, IK Multimedia has provided high-fidelity oversampling for “high-quality audio processing through the entire signal path.”
If you prefer to try before you buy, on the IK Multimedia site, T-RackS 5 V2 is available as a free trial.
Now, it’s worth noting the mastering suite is getting a little long in the tooth, as the base edition of T-RackS 5 launched back in 2017.
But all that said, 22 quality processors for $40 is still a great deal.
If you don’t have such a comprehensive suite in your toolkit, it could be a handy purchase to help plug some of the gaps in the collection for certain applications.

onWho cares whether it’s ugly?!
some rando
onI suspect they mean ugly in a UX and plugin management sense, not in an aesthetic sense. Aesthetically, the plugins are usually quite nice, and they work well, too. Nevertheless, IK’s installation and user experience has been pretty awful for me, too, for a number of reasons. Compatibility hassles between Sampletanks, Syntronik synths having two different versions depending on when you bough, everything always installing, or installing incorrectly, in the wrong place, formerly having to pay to renew access to your sound libraries… Just so many things. And IK certainly knows by now they have cultivated an unfortunate reputation in these areas, they just don’t seem to care–which is baffling, given the care they put into the plugins themselves. Their actual plugs look and sound great, yet all the ancillary hassles make me wish I’d never invested in any of them.

onI picked up the full V2 when it was on sale for $49 and I’m amazed! What a nice bunch of plugins, seriously! I have about 60% of my current project running these and I’m very happy! The channel strips and compressors sound great, the vintage stuff is quality, and you can easily install whatever you want (I just did the individual plugins and standalone mastering suite). YMMV. I mean less than $1 per plugin and they sound great!

onBtw, I use a lot of free plugins and found many through your blog. Thank you SO MUCH!!!! ❤️
