There are too many options in this deal to cover them individually, so I’ll start with the birthday bundles.
Bundle one includes Trash 2, Breaktweaker, and PhoenixVerb for €28.48. Trash 2 is excellent for all kinds of distortion madness, but the real star of bundle one is Breaktweaker.
Despite being around for years, Breaktweaker still sells at a premium price in many online stores, so picking it up like this is a no-brainer. It’s not a typical drum-machine and step-sequencer; even if you’re a chord or melody guy/girl, you’ll find yourself starting tracks with a beat sometimes because it’s such a creative tool.
Bundle two includes Iris 2, Excalibur, and R2 Stereo for €44.96. I’ve used Iris 2 for some time, and while it’s not my go-to synth, it’s one I often reach for if I need to add a rough-edge texture underneath something else.
If I had to choose just one plugin in this bundle, it would be Iris 2, but I’d give a special mention to Excalibur, too. One of my (and many others) complaints is that iZotope software can be a CPU killer (none more so than Ozone, in its past and current versions), and it makes some plugins a real struggle for some users.
However, Excalibur is a powerful, flexible multi-effects plugin that doesn’t hit your CPU as hard as you might expect.
Bundle three includes Insight 2, Stutter Edit 2, and Nimbus for €102.65. The most expensive of the birthday bundles, but comes at a massive 80% discount.
Insight 2 is an industry-standard metering plugin, and it’s useful whether you are a beatmaker, media composer, or anything in between. Nimbus is an extremely tweakable reverb, and the star of this bundle for me is Stutter Edit 2.
Stutter Edit 2 is one of those plugins that can get you out of a jam when you’re struggling for ideas. It’s perfect for any modern electronic music, creating choppy, glitchy, rhythmic content out of anything.
