Dubstation 2 is a bucket-brigade delay plugin developed by Audio Damage, purveyors of some of the most exquisite virtual instruments and effects on the market. The plugin typically costs $25 at Plugin Boutique, but Loopcloud offers it as a freebie to everyone who tries their service by the end of the month.

This is a virtual delay effect you’ll probably want to use on a send channel, with plenty of automation throughout the arrangement to simulate the old school dub masters’ techniques.
Let’s take a closer look at Dubstation 2’s control layout.
The main delay module controls are located in the middle. This is where you’ll adjust the usual parameters like feedback, delay time, as well as Dubstation 2’s secret weapons like reverse delay and looping. Flip the Loop switch, and Dubstation 2 becomes a digital looper right in the comfort of your DAW.
Located on the left are the tone and modulation controls, including a pair of filters and a pitch LFO. Audio Damage also provided a saturation module, simulating the crunch and bite of old analog delays.
The right-most portion of the interface sports the master volume knob, the mix knob, and the stereo width dial. This is also where you’ll find the ping-pong delay switch and the channel mode selector.
The GUI is well-designed and fully vector-based, meaning that you can set it to any size. Dubstation 2 will support any type of screen, regardless of its resolution.
