EDM Samples Acid Synths is the latest free sound library by Biome Digital, featuring a selection of premium quality audio loops and MIDI sequences for electronic dance music producers who want to add some of that “acid” flavor to their music.
The included sounds were recorded from a hardware analog synthesizer (there’s no info about which particular synthesizer was used for creating the loops), passed through a BOSS distortion pedal. The result is a very solid collection of acid basslines and synth one shot samples that are completely royalty free. Having “clean” versions (without the distortion) of each loop and sample would make this library even better, but the lack of unprocessed sounds isn’t that big of a deal anyway. The applied distortion sounds great and the included sounds are packing that authentic acid energy and vibe.
EDM Samples Acid Synths contains 6 sequences in MIDI format, along with 25 audio loops and 15 one shot samples. The included audio loops come with up to five variations per loop (with different filter movements, melody variations, etc.), which is very handy for constructing longer projects without being overly repetitive. The included one shot samples are also quite handy, as they’re key labeled and 100% ready for dropping into your sampler VST plugin of choice.
The library is free to download for all registered Biome Digital users. If you’ve registered for a Biome Digital user account in the past, the freebie is already for you in the “Your Account” section of the website (along with five other freely downloadable sample packs). The registration process is completely free for everyone interested (a valid email address is required in order to get your password).
