Steinberg has released the #StayHome Elements Collection, a collection of music creation and audio editing tools that are free to use for 60 days.

#StayHome Elements Collection is a collection of free music-making software for Windows and macOS. It includes four different applications: Cubase Elements, WaveLab Elements, Dorico Elements, and The Absolute Collection. The offer is valid from April 2nd until May 15th, 2020. Cubase Elements is a cut-down version of Cubase, Steinberg’s flagship digital audio workstation. The software does come with some limitations, but it provides all the features necessary for serious music production. Cubase Elements can host VST plugins, it supports up to 24 physical audio inputs, and allows the user to add up to 64 MIDI tracks and 48 audio tracks per project. For more information, check out the detailed comparison of Cubase versions.

WaveLab Elements is a powerful software for audio editing and audio mastering. It is based on the WaveLab Pro mastering software from Steinberg. Although it lacks some of the features included in the full version of the software, WaveLab Elements hosts many powerful audio editing and analysis tools, a set of mastering tools, a CD burning engine, and more.

Dorico Elements is Steinberg’s entry-level notation software. It includes the most essential features of Dorico Pro, including guitar tablatures, chord diagrams, notation templates, and up to twelve players per project. It is the perfect musical notation tool for less-demanding users.

The Absolute Collection features over 100 GB of sample content, along with 6,800 presets for Steinberg’s virtual instruments like Retrologue 2, Padshop 2, and more. It also includes the renowned HALion 6 sample and synthesis workstation, as well as the Groove Agent virtual instrument for drums and percussion.

The #StayHome Elements Collection can be downloaded entirely free of charge from Steinberg’s website. You will need to sign in to your existing user account or create a new Steinberg ID to receive your personal activation code. A valid email address is required for the account activation process. The offer ends on May 15th, 2020.

Yes, these are free to use for 60 days only. There’s some new freeware stuff to check out, though. Sonible Balancer is free to keep if you get it now, Audio Assault Si6ma, Home Studio Mastering plugins, and more.

  3. All my DXi converted to VST plugins are no longer working! They’re blacklisted as “not a vst”. I have the old bundled 32 bit Cubase LE1 it’s limited but a very good DAW, but Cubase Element for $150 I only get 48 audio tracks/64 midi tracks? I’m just buying their HALion Sonic & Groove Agent 5 with a basic DAW to run them.
