BIAS FX 2 Virtual Guitar Rig By Positive Grid Is Free (OFFER EXPIRED)

Positive Grid offers the BIAS FX 2 Standard ($99 value) virtual guitar rig software as a FREE download on September 21, 2023.

UPDATE: The offer has expired.

BIAS FX 2 Standard is a versatile guitar effects suite for Windows and macOS. You can use it as a virtual guitar rig and pedalboard for recording, performing, and mixing guitars.

I want to publish this article and share it with you as quickly as possible (because the offer expires in less than 24 hours), so there’s no time for an in-depth review.

Instead, here’s a short overview of BIAS FX 2’s most important features so that you can decide whether or not it’s worth downloading for free.

BIAS FX 2 lets you mix and match different guitar amps, cabinets, microphones, and pedals to create the custom guitar setup of your dreams (as long as you don’t mind it being a piece of software running in your DAW).

The Standard version, currently free, offers 30 different guitar amps and 45 effects to play around with.

The amp section covers the majority of classic and modern guitar amplifier models. You’ll find a fair share of virtual Marshalls, Fenders, and other amps to help you get the perfect tone.

The collection of virtual guitar pedals is equally impressive, covering a variety of distortions, overdrives, delays, reverbs, and modulation effects. You’ll also find a spring reverb, an auto-wah pedal, and other specialized tools.

All of this runs in a user interface that lets you mix and match different components with ease. I always liked BIAS FX’s interface design, but the latest version is even more intuitive.

With so many amp and pedal options, it’s easy to get lost while customizing your sound. I like how BIAS FX makes the most important control parameters clearly visible on the GUI and puts the other rarely-used features in the background.

It also features some cool workflow enhancement tricks. One such tool is the Guitar Match feature, which lets you transform your guitar tone into something completely different with a single mouse click.

If you don’t like building your guitar tone from scratch, you can use the ToneCloud feature to access over 50,000 guitar presets.

Of course, going through all of those presets isn’t the smartest way to spend your time, but you can use the search feature to quickly find what you’re looking for and use it as the starting point for further customization.

To summarize, BIAS FX 2 Standard is a good-sounding and highly versatile guitar rig software. It typically costs $99 but can be yours for free if you order it today.

Tomislav, Bless you my good man, I have been wanting this Software for a loong while now!
    Thank you so much!

  2. It activates with login via internet. what to do for those who work on non-connected computers? is there way to activate this without internet?

    • Create a Positive Grid account, then go to the Orders and Downloads tab after logging in. You’ll see the software with a download button.

  3. Hello, Arseniy.

No. The offline activation is not supported for the moment. In the support section, Positive Grid says that in its website.

  4. Thanks but no thanks.
Loading the plugin takes 45% CPU !
On Windows 10, with i5 and 16 GB RAM, not the newest system, but with over 1000 plugins installed, this is among the only one that hogs the CPU like that

  5. All hail BedroomProducersBlog and the notice!! This is a great deal, even tho BIAS isn’t the best anymore in terms of raw tone, it’s still an amazing landscape to create guitar sounds and explore different effects. Moreover, IT’S FREE, GODAMMIT, FREEE!!!

  6. Thanks for the heads up on this! Got it installed on Windows 7 and the standalone seems to work fine. Haven’t tested it in my old ass FL Studio 32 bit yet. We’ll see if ILBridge gets along with Bias FX. Fingers crossed..

  7. Solid catch. 100% :)
It always surprises me though, when a company doesn’t have any offline authorization options; at only a glance, it would lead me to assume that their products weren’t geared towards professional studios or commercial use.

  8. Whoops, missed this. This is what you get for being on the opposite side of the world and busy *sleeping* while the deal is on! :P

  9. Continuum Theorem

GUI is wonky on Windows 11, Presonus Studio One. Tried resizing my display, changing display definition etc., no luck. Unusable. Not your fault, but thanks anyway.
