You can pay just $1 to get IK Multimedia’s SampleTank 4 ($199.99) at Humble Bundle until October 9th, 2024.
SampleTank 4 has been around for a few years but remains a favorite for many musicians.
The sound and groove workstation features an impressive 100GB sound library with 6000 instrument presets.
Thanks to Humble and IK Multimedia, you can buy it for as little as $1 (usually $199.99) and help a good cause at the same time.
Also, while we’re talking about limited-time offers, here’s a reminder that you only have a few days left to grab Abletunes Retrotape and RVRB for just $19.99.
SampleTank 4 features a diverse collection of sounds, from Grand pianos and acoustic drum kits to electric pianos, bass guitars, and orchestral sounds.
It’s easy to see the time and effort spent on SampleTank 4 looking at just a single instrument. The grand piano, a Yamaha C7, is an excellent example of how deep IK Multimedia went in the sampling process.
The C7 offers multiple presets and microphone positions, allowing you to tailor the sound for a particular type of performance. Any C7 is a beautiful piano, but some Yamaha’s are notoriously bright, and that quality is often overstated in virtual instruments.
However, this virtual C7 isn’t too bright; it’s warm but still articulate, and that’s what I like most about it.
SampleTank 4 is a real workhorse, and that’s the appeal for most users; you can do almost everything from one source with world-class sounds and effects.
Whether you’re making demo tracks for a band, EDM, cinematic instrumentals, or anything else, it’s unlikely you won’t find the right sounds in SampleTank 4.
The synths, largely based on rare or vintage hardware synths, are fantastic, especially some of the Minimoog-esque leads.
The strings and brass sounds are better than ever, with more round robins and articulations than previous versions.
It’s no surprise that the instruments sound great. I’ve been an IK Multimedia fan for a long time, and if they ever have any problems, it’s typically with functions or processes rather than sound quality.
SampleTank 4 allowed IK Multimedia to address some user concerns from previous versions, like loading times and issues with resizing the GUI. As a result, SampleTank 4 is faster and smoother, with some powerful production tools like the Strummer, Pattern Player, and Loop Manager.
If you don’t have SamplTank 4 already, it’s a no-brainer for $1, and your purchase will help support Music Will, a nonprofit organization bringing music education to schools across the United States.
Other offers are available with all details on the Humble Bundle website (offers end on October 9, 2024).

onNice plugin, but needs a lot of space on hard drive/SSD….
A lot…! Like around 130 GO…
But no need to install all the banks.
And lot of great effects from T-Racks.

onSamplTank 4 Max v2 with $50 now(upgrade and full version same price),maybe it’s on sale?it’s a great deal too.
Numanoid
onSuspiciously nice deal on both ST4 and the MAX version, I guess Sample Tank 5 must be on its way ;-)
But just a buck is a great deal, now only to download the whole multi giga byte thing!
Is it still so that after some months after registering that one no longer can download from IK ? In case will need to back up the huge lib as well
crinoceronte
onThat changed a few months ago if I recall correctly
Jason
onThat’s no longer a problem. IK did change it a while back and you download all the sounds at anytime from their app. That’s not just for new products, but old ones too. I had a time when all mine were expired, but they are back now.
Numanoid
onThat is great news :-)
I bought Sample Tank 2 back in 2012 as I remember, so getting this “upgrade” to ST4 is a nice deal !
I have bought many IK products since then, will check my account to see if I have got anyone of them back too (fingers crossed)
Sred
onAnd IK still stupidly gives only 180 days for downloading the sounds for their instruments for free and after that period charges 10 bucks.
Numanoid
onThat is not what Jason says ?
The Sound Of Lex
onNo! Now you can download your files anytime you want without any charge. Cheers!
Alex
onYes Thank God, That s*** kept me away from buying their software. I bought the I RIG Pro to be able to use my on to practice on Tour.
Adilbek Temirkhanov
onThey thankfully scrapped this nefarious policy this year!
noxiouzz
onThey stopped doing that for more than a year now.
SteveE
onHow does this differ from the free “SampleTank 4 Custom Shop”? I’ve not been able to find a comparison.
Numanoid
onST4 CS comes with 4GB samples and 50 sounds according to IK, so that is less than a percent of the full ST4 with 6000 sounds

onDoes it work on Linux? I’m looking for a Kontakt alternative – Linux friendly – and this could be interesting…
Numanoid
onAre you using WINE on your Linux platform ?
A lot of Windows software will work on Linux then.
In this case, as long as what IKM lists as hardware requirements is met:
-Requires an ASIO compatible sound card
-Requires an OpenGL 2 compatible graphics adapter
Franz
onSounds interesting. Does the Humble Bundle Account cause monthly payments or is free?
Gery Zenz
onno monthly payments!
Gordon Frew
onUhm.. am I missing something you need to spend £28 to get the full thing as in all the packs
Ants
onUnless you are really money tight, then you can spend more to get more extensions and give more to charity.
All in all it is worth it !
Ants
onExtra TIP you need to paste the Humble redeem code in the IK Product Manager itself, NOT in the website page linked.
Enjoy ! Happy user who spent $35 to support this great offer.
Q
onCan I redeem my code for a different email address than the one I received the code for?

onI can’t get the se to download I have always had problems with the downloader for i.k. I do have the base though. It made it to 77% and then told me it can’t open the zip files. It could be cut and paste type things are a problem or because using drive c is a problem… I tried to download a small 3 gig suntronic se after sampletank and it failed as well. It’s good to try the free stuff first to see if it downloads. I might give the dollar anyway as a speculation that the downloader works well with my drive d setup later because it is a worthy cause.
Nine
ondownload via the IK Product Manager worked perfectly for me. It did fail the first time I tried, because the default download location was to a hard drive partition that had less than 100 gigs available. Going into IPM/settings and downloading to a drive with enough room worked perfectly.
Ants
onSpent $35 to get everything, I’m not impressed by lots of the content. Lots of patches are actually one soundbank with different sound effects. Lots of crap sounds tbh. But to be fair for that money there are enough good sounds to justify the purchase, you can check the Ik website ahead to check soundbanks see if you like them. I recommend MIXBOX as another purchase, so good as a multi FX.
Evheniy
onTotally agree. Most sounds are, unfortunately, unusable in commercial production :( MixBox is cool though!
Bob
onLol, they are perfecty usable. You should have tried using sounds from s*** in the 90s in comercial productions.
Evheniy
onLol, they’re not :) Most of them sound cheap, unnatural & plastic. No hate to IK (I’m using their other products and they’re good), just my opinion. And if I’m wrong, I would like to listen to a commercial high-quality track that uses these sounds. I doubt you’ll ever find it. For amateurs, playing with ideas and demos is fine though.

on“I’d buy that for a dollar.” – Bixby Snyder, 2043.
Bob
onThere is a deal for Samplitude Pro X7, Acid 10 and other crap for $25 now on the site. Samplitude is definitely worth the $25.
Ariana
onIs it worth it? considering there are tons of free samples around the web
Samuel
onI can guess that Sample Tank 5 is on its way.
Phil Huston
onY’all might take note of another Humble Bundle from Magix.
I don’t know who besides me still uses Acid, the easiest way to loop ever, but they’re doing Acid, Samplitude, Movie Maker, Music Maker (okay, it’s kind of a dog) and Independence for a buck, thirty for all of it with content. Good deal for anyone wanting to get off the endless assault of pay for updates and subscription models. I still prefer Samplitude to a lot of DAWS and the built in instruments are excellent. Free impulse verb to boot. I mean the Sample Tank deal is great but I could edit and replace drums on 8 and 16 bit ROMPLERS in the 80s. It’s 2024 IK. Wake up.
