It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, and you know what that means: Three more free AmpliTube 5 CS gear giveaways to close out the year!
For December, IK Multimedia is giving away the Leslie 122A amp and matching cab, Chorus-1 stomp (based on the Boss CE-1), and Phazer 10 stomp (based on the MXR Phaser 100).
The above models are for IK Multimedia’s AmpliTube 5 CS, which is a free, 64-bit exclusive guitar and bass workstation for macOS and Windows.
OK, so let’s have a look at what stocking stuffers IK Multimedia have for us for the final month of freebies for their AmpliTube 5 CS giveaway.
The Leslie 122A amp and matching cab is a modern take on the famous rotating chamber system, which was originally designed for the Hammond organ but later used by electric guitarists.
The medium-tall cab provides a phat bass response, and when compared to the classic 122, the 122A provides a more “open and upfront” tone.
The Chorus-1 is based on the iconic Boss CE-1, which the company released as its very first pedal back in 1976.
The Chorus-1 is a bucket brigade analogue chorus and vibrato stomp.
The Phazer 10 is an analogue multi-mode phaser stomp, which is based on the MXR Phaser 100 pedal from 1975.
So it’s clear IK Multimedia is going for a vintage vibe with this set of giveaways, which I’m all here for.
As always IK Multimedia is attempting to restrict the gear giveaways to brand new signups to AmpliTube 5 CS for December.
But of course, BPB users have cooked up a little workaround to get the freebies as an existing user, which I’m happy to share with y’all. Thanks again to the BPB users who provided this method.
To access the giveaways as an existing user, open up the IK Multimedia Product Manager, unauthorize AmpliTube 5 CS, and then re-authorize it.
You can also hit the ‘refresh your purchases’ button to help the process click over.
As always, for this method to work, the current computer you are using has to be the only computer that you have Amplitube 5 CS authorized on.
If you have a dead computer that has Amplitube 5 CS authorized on it, then unfortunately this method will not work, and there does not appear to be any workaround for that problem.
Check out the deal: AmpliTube 5 CS (new users get 3 classic gear models for FREE during December – Leslie 122A, Chorus-1 & Phazer 10)

onAnyone else with one instance installed having trouble getting the unauthorize > reauthorize > refresh trick to work? I’ve tried a few times in the last 10 hours with no luck IK did force an update on their product manager software when I booted it up to try this out, not sure if that is affecting it…

onTry closing the IK product manager and doing a refresh of the licenses in the CS shop app.
Also beware of location, for me I have to have my VPN on.
Normally it just works in the product manager though, but the CS app is another place to check what you have for IK.

onWhile I had the products added after doing the trick, they still didn’t appear in Amplitube. I then checked the Custom Shop app and I wasn’t logged into it, after logging in and clicking “Restore my purchases,” they showed up.

onIf you contact IK customer service, they can clear authorizations from dead computers.

onHow do you know?
Has IK successfully reset a dead authorisation for you?
I emailed them a few months ago and they told me they technically can’t do that.
Curious,
Peter
