Audio Plugin Deals is offering NoiseAsh Heater V2, an analog-style saturation and tone-shaping plugin for macOS and Windows, as a free download for a limited time.
Heater V2 normally has a $129 list price, although NoiseAsh currently sells it for $39.90. The Audio Plugin Deals giveaway reduces the price to $0 and is advertised to run for two weeks, but the product page does not display a specific end date.
The plugin combines two modeled saturation circuits with filtering, EQ, stereo widening, and parallel processing controls. That makes it more of a compact color box than a basic drive effect.
You can use Heater V2 for subtle harmonic warmth, push it harder for gritty distortion, or blend the processed signal with the original using the Dry/Wet control. NoiseAsh also includes output gain compensation in Drive mode, which should make it easier to judge the added character without being fooled by a large volume increase.
The two EQ models provide different approaches to broad tone shaping. Type I is a solid-state design, while Type II is based on an EQP1A-style circuit. Both provide low- and high-frequency gain controls with four selectable frequency ranges.
Dedicated high-pass and low-pass filters help remove unwanted frequencies on both ends of the spectrum, and the stereo expander lets you add width if needed. Combined with the wet/dry blend, that setup works quite well well for adding color to vocals, basses, drums, synths, buses, and complete mixes.
