Fruit Shake is a performance-oriented virtual percussion instrument for Native Instruments Kontakt. It is fully compatible with the free Kontakt Player plugin, which is quite a rear feat for a freely downloadable library. We listed the best free Kontakt Player libraries in the article linked below.

It features shaker accents, twists, forward and backward thrusts, and other playing variations that result in a natural-sounding performance when combined. These minor variations and “ghost notes” are particularly important when sampling percussion instruments.
Think of Fruit Shake as a fun and intuitive tool for adding shaker sounds to a project. Instead of building a shaker performance from scratch or using pre-recorded percussion loops, Fruit Shake creates custom percussion rhythms that can be customized on the fly.
The library’s control interface takes advantage of In Session Audio’s powerful Shimmer Shake Strike percussion engine for Kontakt. It allows for the easy creation of sequenced percussion loops. Check out the demo video below for a brief introduction to Fruit Shake’s workflow.
The user can fine-tune multiple parameters, including the volume and pan of each percussion instrument, time signature, swing, pattern length (from two to 64 steps), and more. The library features one-shot samples and rolls for each sampled percussion instrument.
Fruit Shake is free to download and use, but it is available for a limited time only. In Session Audio offers it occasionally on their website, usually before Black Friday (here’s our news article from last year). This time, the free download offer ends on November 24th.
The library is compatible with the free Kontakt Player plugin. You will need to download Kontakt Player from NI Instruments to use Fruit Shake in your DAW.
