Seaweed Factory has released a free sample pack featuring the sounds of the Casio SK-1 toy sampler keyboard instrument.
Here is a sample pack of the rhythms and tones of an unmodified Casio SK-1 sampling keyboard. Though the sampling feature of this keyboard is wonderful, the lo-fi drums and tones are also pretty neat.
The sample pack is available for free download via Seaweed Factory’s official website (17.MB download size, contains audio samples in 24-bit WAV format).
You can download all the files individually, or download the whole sample collection as a ZIP archive if you use the File menu in the Google Docs menu.
Seaweed has created a neat little collection of Casio SK-1 samples, including all rhythms from the instrument, as well as a selection of multisamples of the original tones included in the synth. They’ve released another Casio sample collection recently, which can be found using the Search tool in the upper-right corner on this page.
