kiloHearts Reverser VST/AU Plugin Is FREE Until December 28th!

kiloHearts have announced that the Reverser add-on for their Multipass and Snap Heap VST/AU plugins is available as a free download until December 28th ($19 regular price).

Reverser is a so-called “snap-in”, or simply put, an add-on for the Multipass and Snap Heap modular multi-FX plugins by kiloHearts. It can be loaded as a module in the two aforementioned hosts, or used as a standalone plugin in any VST/AU plugin host application on PC and Mac.

The plugin is easy to use and well designed. The user interface features a note length setting for the reverse effect (1/32 being the shortest value), crossfade and mix knobs, and a bypass switch. The timing value can also be entered in milliseconds (10 ms – 5,000 ms range).

The crossfade knob adjusts the fade-in time for the reverse effect, to avoid smooth playback and avoid any clicks and pops. The mix knob adjusts the dry/wet signal balance. It’s also worth noting that the user interface is fully resizable, which is particularly handy if you’re using Reverser as a real-time effect on a touchscreen monitor during a live set.

Even though Reverser was obviously built for use within Multipass and Snap Heap, I find it to be a rather capable little tool in its own right. There aren’t many freely downloadable reverse FX utilities out there, especially not as polished as Reverser. Since this is a time-limited offer, I highly recommend you to claim your free copy of the plugin while you still can.
