ValhallaDSP has is now offering the Valhalla Space Modulator modulation effect as a completely free download from its website.
Valhalla Space Modulator is a versatile modulation effect. It works as a through-zero flanger, a detuner, a chorus effect, a weird pitch shifter, a doubler, a stereo modulator, a reverb, and more. Despite its seemingly simple looks, the plugin can deliver a wide range of creative modulation effects. The modulation sounds incredibly rich, and it’s almost impossible to get a dull sound out of this plugin. It’s really up to the user to explore what’s possible with Valhalla Space Modulator’s modulation engine and fully unleash its potential.

Until recently, Valhalla Space Modulator was offered as a free download to existing ValhallaDSP customers only (you had to purchase another product from the developer first). As of now, everyone interested can download it and use it completely free of charge. This is fantastic news, especially considering that only a month has passed since ValhallaDSP released their previous freebie – the amazing ValhallaSupermassive delay plugin.
Valhalla Space Modulator features eleven modulation algorithms and an intuitive set of controls to shape the depth and type of modulation that is applied to the signal. The user can adjust the modulation rate and depth, the feedback amount, and the mix of dry and wet signals. It is also possible to add a fixed pre-delay to the modulated signal. The eleven included algorithms are accessible through the Mode selection menu, and each mode includes a brief description that explains its modulation type.
The user interface is freely resizable, so there won’t be any display issues if you’re using a high-resolution screen. The plugin also features a preset manager. There are over 70 presets to choose from, and the user can save their favorite settings as presets for later use.
Valhalla Space Modulator is available for free download from the product page – no registration or activation required. It comes with an EXE installer that will extract the necessary plugin files on the user’s hard drive. The software is available in VST, AU, AAX, and RTAS plugin formats for compatible DAW software on PC and Mac. Both 32-bit and 64-bit plugin hosts are supported.
