Plugin Boutique Lets You Pick A FREE Gift With Any Purchase

Plugin Boutique offers two free add-on choices with any purchase in September.

I hope some of you picked up the August gift at Plugin Boutique, but if you didn’t, don’t worry; September brings another good one.

Plugin Boutique offers a choice between Audiomodern’s Loopmix Lite and a Mastering the Mix eBook as this month’s gift.

To claim the gift, all you have to do is make any qualifying purchase (paid product).

As always, a qualifying purchase cannot be paid in full with a voucher or virtual cash; anything under 100% is fine. The offer ends September 30th, 2023.

Loopmix Lite is one of those plugins that will help you get started when you’re struggling for ideas. It’s a loop remixer with some clever features that offer unlimited variation.

You can load up to six loops and use any of the Loopmix signature algorithms to mash them up. Loopmix doesn’t just cut and paste sections all over the place; it cleverly and creatively plays with direction and pitch.

Interesting features include the Multifunctional Performance Keyboard. The MPK allows you to create kits and trigger new loops, stems, and sequences, which could be excellent for live performance.

Loopmix Lite is definitely one to consider if you create a lot of remixes or you want an easy way to start any new song.

Mastering the Mix is the developer behind plugins like the very handy Levels metering tool. If Loopmix Lite isn’t for you, you can go with the How to Stem Master a Song eBook.

I understand that an eBook probably doesn’t sound as exciting as a free plugin, and there’s endless information freely available online, but that endless information is often a problem.

If you’re trying to learn about anything online, there’s lots of free and paid content, which might all be fantastic.

The trouble with the free content is that it’s typically a teaser designed to sell you the paid content. When you bounce around from one free source to another, you inevitably end up with massive gaps in your knowledge because you’re missing the parts behind the paywall.

Even if you find sources that provide entire lessons for free, you usually lack any sensible structure. If you want to learn more about mastering techniques and build solid foundations, this Mastering the Mix eBook might be a good place to start.

And if you’re not sure what to purchase in order to claim one of these freebies, check out this epic deal on the 1176 Classic Limiter Collection by Universal Audio.

Talking of monthly freebies, be sure to check out the new Sul Tasto Strings from Project Sam.

    • I don’t understand what is the difference between Loopmix and Loopmix Lite.
I don’t find the Lite version anywhere.
      Apparently they don’t sell it.

You’re right Rox Roll, I get the MasteringTheMix ebook for free on the MTM website with my account.

Despite writing the news post, I couldn’t find anything official on Loopmix Lite, which led me to believe that the giveaway was a typo, and it was actually the full version. But, I see some people mention owning the LITE version online, discussing upgrades, etc., so I guess it is the LITE version.

I haven’t had a chance to pick it up yet, but I will shortly, and I’ll post a more helpful response! Thank for the comment, and sorry for the slow response.

    • Thanks for the info. Just downloaded it which saved me some money. I wanted to take a look inside the book anyway and checked for something to buy.

And thanks to all of you posting here. You are very helpful.

  1. Thank you James, a quick question to clarify:
Is it correct that Loopmix Lite doesn’t allow one to load external samples but only loops from their own expansions?

    Thank you again!

      Hi GEORG,

Apologies for the very late response – I’ll aim to be more active in the comments!

Unfortunately, I’ve been so busy, I haven’t picked this one up yet, but I will do shortly, and report back. I suspect that you may be correct, but information on the LITE version is very scarce – if not for a few people discussing it in forums, I’d have assumed it was a typo, but it seems it does exist…….somewhere. Thank you very much for the comment, and I’ll post a more informative reply shortly!

      • Hi James,
no worries at all, thank you for your kind reply.

I have reached out to Audiomodern’s support and they replied: “With Loopmix lite you can load up any of our expansions but you can’t import your own samples.”

        Thanks again!

  2. Loopmix is crap. Playbeat 3 is solid enough but in my opinion most other Audiomodern plugins are like shitty mcdonalds toys
