IK Multimedia is giving away four free guitar pedal effects to AmpliTube 5 CS users throughout September.
AmpliTube 5 CS is a free guitar and bass workstation, 64-bit only, for macOS and PC.

The free effects for the September giveaway are the Fuzz Age, D-Comp, X-Time, and X-Space.
The Fuzz Age is based on the Arbiter Fuzz Face, and IK Multimedia notes that the effect is modeled on the classic Germanium transistor fuzz version of the stomp.
This fuzz effect can transform lead and rhythm parts to kick in the mix.
The D-Comp is based on the MXR Dynacomp, a vintage compression stomp.
The X-Time is a digital version of the X-Gear X-Time delay pedal, and the true stereo pedal features 16 delay effects.
The X-Space is a digital version of the X-Gear X-Space reverb pedal, and the true stereo pedal features 16 reverb effects. You may notice a common theme here.
Users can access the freebie by following the instructions on the announcement page for the September giveaway.
This effects giveaway is part of IK Multimedia’s monthly AmpliTube 5 CS gear giveaways for the second half of 2024.

Like the other monthly IK Multimedia giveaways, the freebies are only available to new users of AmpliTube 5 CS who signed up during the month of the current giveaway.
However, BPB users have helpfully offered a detailed workaround to allow existing users to access the giveaway.
This can be achieved by opening the IK Multimedia Product Manager, unauthorizing AmpliTube 5 CS, re-authorizing AmpliTube 5 CS, and pressing the ‘refresh your purchases’ circle.
To make this method work, ensure that the computer you’re currently using is the only one authorized with Amplitube 5 CS.
Unfortunately, this method will not work if you have a dead computer that still has an authorized version of Amplitube 5 CS on it.
A big thank you to BPB users Jawnson and Christian H. for the updated guide on how to access the freebies and for the heads-up about the September giveaway, respectively.
In addition to the monthly freebies, IK Multimedia is running a prize giveaway for AmpliTube 5 CS users.
Users who have installed the software will go into the draw for bundle giveaways, which will be drawn on January 2, 2025.
The grand prize winner will win an Axe I/O, ToneX Pedal, and Total Studio 4 Max.
The first-place winner will receive an Axe I/O One, ToneX One, Mesa Reference, and Metal Gems.
The second-place winner will win an iRig HD X and Metal Gems.

onThey’ve been very active lately. :)

onIKM freebies are such pain to recover. They are attractive but I’ll pas from now.
Having to unsintall and reinstall on every computers is just too much, especially without fiber cable when the install are 2.4 gigas.
IKM support wasn’t very responsive in this regards.

onyou didn’t have to install anything, just unauthorize then reauthorize literally take 2 seconds and they’re added to your account

onThe issue for me is that I had Amplitube registered to my PC when my drive broke, and when I installed Windows on a new drive the whole system got a new device ID. I just registered Amplitube again to the new system, but now I have an old authorization just being there without any way to unauthorize it. AFAIK not even IK support can help you with that. So even if I unauthorize Amplitube on this current system I still don’t get the freebies when I authorize it again because I need to unauthorize all my devices for it to work.

onYou don’t have to uninstall, you have to unauthorize.

onIt took me about 5 seconds. The directions are in the article “This can be achieved by opening the IK Multimedia Product Manager, unauthorizing AmpliTube 5 CS, re-authorizing AmpliTube 5 CS, and pressing the ‘refresh your purchases’ circle.”

onI’m not a big fan of some IK practices. But… Actually, you don’t have to uninstall. Just de-authorize, which is 1 click.

onthe cab sim on the reverb sounds pretty good. I put it last in my fx chain and bypass the cabinet section and use the reverb as a cab. pretty interesting sounds

onCouldn’t get it because I have it on an old, dead laptop. Oh well! At least I can still make some killer tones with what I’ve got.
James
onWorked perfectly. Un-auth/re-auth, there it is.

onAnyone worked out how to get these when you have a full Amplitude or Amplitude Max license? I would love to have these but frustrated that I have a Max license?! Help!
Jawnson
onDo you have Amplitube 5 also installed on a different computer?
If not the following might help. (Full Amplitube 5 user here)
To summarize the process
1. Open IK Multimedia Product Manager
2. Unauthorize AmpliTube 5 CS
3. Authorize AmpliTube 5 CS
* IMPORTANT *
* This will only work when you don’t have Amplitube 5 CS authorized on a dead computer
* The computer you’re currently using should be the only one using/authorized Amplitube 5 CS
* It is not possible to restore your authorisation from a dead computer (I’ve contacted IK Multimedia for this)

onHi,
Thanks for responding. I have a Mac with Amplitude 5 installed, I am logged in with my Amplitude Max license. I do not have Amplitude CS showing in my list of products in IK Product Manager, I presume IK remove it when you upgrade to Amplitude Full or Max license? I understand the process you have summarised, I simply don’t have the Amplitude CS entry to unauthorise and re-authorise to redeem the products? Unless I am missing something? Appreciate your help.
Jawnson
onIt’s normal, mine changed from Amplitube CS to Amplitube 5 when I bought the full version. Amplitube CS is the free version

onErr – I already have Amplitube…
With the above method of unauthorizing and reauthorizing, will I still keep my last month’s freebie, the Orange amp?
Cheers,
Dominique
