KVR Audio and IK Multimedia have teamed up to give away a free copy of the latter’s AmpliTube SVX (usually €100) bass amp collection.
The competition is open now and will close on September 22, 2024.
The bass amp requires either AmpliTube 5 or the free AmpliTube 5 CS suite, available on macOS and PC.
Users can enter the competition on the announcement page on the KVR Audio website.
To access the giveaway, you need a free and verified KVR Audio account and provide some basic personal information.
IK Multimedia describes the AmpliTube SVX as a “must-have collection of gear for the bassist who appreciates pedigree.”
The original amp was famously featured on The Rolling Stones’ 1969 tour. It also helped define the sound of Motown and was used by acts such as Van Halen, AC/DC, and the Dave Matthews Band.
IK Multimedia states that its team “painstakingly captured every nuance of these deep-sounding amps to give you the same sounds that you’ve loved on countless recordings.”
IK Multimedia really went all out for this collection, featuring 18 models on the AmpliTube SVX release.
These 18 models include four amps, six cabinets, three microphones, and eight stompboxes.
IK Multimedia states that the release is a greatest hits amps collection, ranging “from the earth-shattering sound of rock & roll bass from the SVT – the Granddaddy of them all, to the smooth groove-making rolls of the B-15. The scooped edginess of the 4Pro.”
The included amp models are the SVX-15R, SVX-500, SVX-CL, and SVX-PRO.
The cabinets are the 1×15 SVX-15R, 2×10 SVX-500, 2×12 SVX-212, 4×10 SVX-410B, 4×10 SVX-410S, and 8×10 SVX-810E.
The stompbox inclusions are an Analog Chorus, Analog Delay, Bass Wah, SVX Compressor, SVX Envelope Filter, SVX Volume, SVX-OCT, and SVX-OD.
Three microphones—the Dynamic 20, Dynamic 421, and Vintage Dynamic 20—round out the collection.

IK Multimedia’s recent in-house amp giveaways to new AmpliTube 5 CS users only. Thankfully, this AmpliTube SVX giveaway on KVR Audio does not seem to have this restriction, which will save users a lot of time!
