A new soundware company Sample Katra has launched their online web shop, in which they’re offering 4 commercial NI Kontakt instruments and 1 freebie.
Sample Katra, a new company specialising in vintage analogue synth instruments for Native Instruments’ Kontakt, has announced the release of five new instruments, including one freebie.
You can find all available products @ Sample Katra. The commercial packs are reasonably priced (ranging from $19 to $29) and there’s also a freebie sample library based on the BOSS HC-2 Hand Clapper pedal (previously featured on BPB). I’ve had the privilege of testing their commercial products and I’m hereby recommending them to everyone interested in vintage analogue sounds. All samples are carefully recorded in 24-bit, with RR variations and no additional processing. The Kontakt scripts have been masterfully crafted by Mario Krušelj.
My favorite one of the bunch has to be the Surreal Strings instrument based on the Yamaha SS30, but that’s because I’m a sucker for string machines. All other libraries are of equal quality and are based on samples of real vintage hardware instruments.
