ULTRAkILLER Virtual Hybrid Synthesizer By NOVAkILL Is Now Freeware!

NOVAkILL has announced that their ULTRAkILLER virtual synthesizer is now re-released as freeware (previously available as albumware).

ULTRAkILLER is easily the msot complex synth I’ve made, with three completely different synthesis methods to choose from, tones of modulation options and a modulation matrix to link it all together.

ULTRAkILLER is available for free download via NOVAkILL (2.2 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 1 instrument in VSTi plugin format for Windows).

The instrument features two oscillators, each offering a different method of synthesis (one is a spectral oscillator for additive synthesis, while the other one is DCO for subtractive synthesis). The oscillators are connected to two multi-mode filters with free routing.

ULTRAkILLER also features a mod matrix, unison mode, 3 ADSR envelopes and 2 LFOs. It is a rather complex synthesizer, capable of generating some quite unusual and interesting sounds.

Those who prefer simpler instruments can also download ULTRAkILLERmini which features only the spectral oscillators and a reduced set of controls. It is available for free download on the same page as ULTRAkILLER.

Finally, make sure that you take a look at the effects and some older synthesizers developed by NOVAkILL. I especially like their killerGATE+ trance gate effect which also features a distortion unit and a multi-mode filter.
