Dark Side Of The Tune has announced the release of Sub Phatty Drums, a free collection of drum samples captured from the Sub Phatty analogue synthesizer by Moog.
Sub Phatty Drums is a 43 sound library of one-hit samples recorded from Moog Music Inc.’s latest offering. The Sub Phatty excels at thickness and warmth, and with the multi-drive and frequency modulation on hand, it takes the classic ladder sound into new territory.
Sub Phatty Drums is available for free download via SoundCloud (10 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 43 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format).
To download the samples, follow the Google Drive link on the page linked above and then choose File >> Download from the menu. This way, all the samples from the pack will be downloaded in a single ZIP archive.
The pack contains a set of 43 drum samples which were programmed on the Sub Phatty and captured in 24-bit. They are suitable for use in all sorts of electronic music. The demo track which is embedded below sounds DnB-ish, although I could easily picture this samples being used in an electro or house track, too.
The samples are 100% dry, recorded through a Universal Audio Apollo. The author’s goal was to create an original set of samples and not another TR-808 or TR-909 clone library.
