Bent Sine Wave - Free Sample Pack By Dark Side Of The Tune

Dark Side of the Tune has released Bent Sine Wave, a free sample collection featuring the sounds of the Filter Lancet by Vermona.

Bent Sine Wave is a new free sample library from Dark Side of the Tune. This set takes the Vermona Filter Lancet and turns it into a synthesizer. External noise was taken from Arturias Minibrute for a more life-like snare drum sound.

Bent Sine Wave is available for free download via SoundCloud (12.3 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 58 audio samples in 16-bit & 24-bit WAV format).

The sample collection is hosted on Google Drive. You can either download all the samples individually, or get the whole package in a ZIP archive by choosing File >> Download from the main menu on the download page.

The pack features a drum kit with several kick, snare and hi-hat one shots, and a nice little collection of SFX samples. The samples were created using a Filter Lancet to process the white noise which was generated by the Arturia Minibrute analogue synthesizer. The resulting sample kit sounds noisy and organic, and will work great for creating quirky electronic drum loops. It is now safely stashed in my drum sample folder.
