Free Richter Dual Borg Filter Drum Sample Pack By Dark Side Of The Tune

Dark Side of the Tune has released Resistance Is Futile, a free drum sample library featuring a collection of sounds generated with the Dual Borg Filter analogue filter module by Malekko Richter.

You will be assimilated by Dark Side of the Tune’s free library Resistance is Futile. The Malekko Richter Dual Borg Filter was used modularly to create rich and heavy analog drums.

Resistance Is Futile is available for free download via SoundCloud (10.1 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 54 audio samples in 16-bit & 24-bit WAV format).

Since the samples are hosted on Google Drive, you’ll need to use a little trick to download them all in a single ZIP archive. Simply choose File >> Download from the Google Drive menu and the download of the archive will start automatically. I’ve noticed that the directory contents are not displayed if you use a RAR archive instead of ZIP, which is a handy thing to know in case you use Drive for hosting and sharing your files.

Resistance Is Futile is the latest addition to an impressive series of great sounding freebie drum kits provided by Dark Side of the Tune in the past several months. This time around, an analogue Dual Borg Filter module was used for filtering several noise sources (including a Roland TR-808 clone) and shaping them into percussive sounds. As always, the resulting drum samples sound lovely and will provide a healthy dosage of glitch and noise to drum loops of any genre.

All the samples included in the pack come in two different bit depths, which is great news for people who use older 16-bit compatible samplers. The library also includes a set of round robin variations for some of the included one shots (these are labeled with lower-case letters), which is useful for simulating the unstable output of an analogue instrument.
