Sonic Mechanics Label Sampler is available for free download via Loopmasters Newsletter (266 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 662 individual audio loops and samples in 24-bit WAV format for a total of 330 MB of audio data when extracted).
The freebie library features a generous amount of free samples, considering the fact that it’s a taster pack. Exactly 662 sounds in WAV format are included, covering everything from drum one shots to bass loops and sound effects. As always, it’s a bit tricky to figure out if the samples distributed in this way are free for commercial use.
Here’s a quote from the included PDF file:
The Licensee may modify the Sounds and may use the Sounds for commercial purposes as part of a musical composition with other sounds.
And here’s another quote:
A right to use the sounds is granted only to the Licensee and is NOT transferable.
The question remains whether or not the person who downloaded these sounds as part of a freebie taster pack is regarded as a “Licensee” in this case. My suggestion would be to get in touch with either Loopmasters or Sonic Mechanics before using these sounds in a commercial release, just to stay completely safe from any form of possible licensing issues.

Other than that, this free taster pack is a 100% recommended download if you ask me. You’ll find loads of good stuff inside, including loops, great sounding samples, and even patches for some of the most popular sampler instruments. The pack also includes the coupon code to get Sonic Mechanics commercial releases at a 20% discount.
