Another week is behind us and we have quite a few awesome freebies to share with you in this latest edition of BPB Freebie Sunday. Get ready for some late weekend freebie goodness!
We have some pretty interesting VST plugins and sound packs this time around. My favorite one on this week’s list is the free sample trigger by Chris Kerry, however, the new version of PanCake could easily have taken the first place.
- CK_Launcher is a universal sample trigger player in VSTi plugin format for Windows. The plugin can load up to 72 samples in WAV format and it supports custom layouts and mappings which can be customized to work with any hardware trigger unit. It supports choke groups and it’s certainly a neat little tool to have around if you need a way to quickly trigger samples using your MIDI controller. The plugin was created by Chris Kerry who is a SynthEdit legend (tons of SE plugins are based on his custom modules).
- PanCake is an awesome free panning plugin (much more than just a simple auto-pan effect) by Cableguys and it has just been updated with a brand new GUI and an improved waveform editor. Don’t miss this one if you need a tool for creating some weird rhythmic stereo effects, or some basic panning effects but with lots of control over the process.
- RealDrumSamples has launched a new sample boutique and they’re offering a free taster pack to their email subscribers. I didn’t expect much from this offer initially, but there are definitely some nice drum hits inside. Worth a grab if you make hip hop or similar types of music. You’ll receive the download link via email after signing up for their newsletter.
- Bounce House Soundpack is another neat freebie sample pack by Kyle Mohr. He’s been very active lately, providing a new sample library almost every week. This one, in particular, is filled with various synthesized and organic sounds which are ready to get chopped up in your favorite sampler.
- Into The Darkness II is a free collection of horror soundscapes by Twisted Tools. This one was released as a gift for Halloween, but I’ve somehow managed to announce it almost an entire month late. Great job, me! Anyways, it’s a nice collection of eerie sounds, a recommended download if you need some spooky soundscapes in your sound library.
Have fun with the freebies and thanks for reading BPB!
