99Sounds Releases Free Massamolla By Smhertz

99Sounds has announced the release of Massamolla, a free experimental sample library created by Giuseppe Caiazzo aka Smhertz.

The library contains a set of 99 royalty free loops and samples, all available in 24-bit WAV format. The content spans from a collection of percussive hits produced by recording real world objects, to heavily processed synths and field recordings turned into background loops and soundscapes.

If you’re a fan of Burial style percussion, you’ll absolutely love the drum hits included in Massamolla. The one shot percussive hits crafted by Smhertz for Massamolla have that organic real world feel (the source sounds were made by slamming doors, tearing sheets of paper, tossing coins, etc.), with just the right amount of processing applied in post for added punch, tighter bass and clarity in the higher frequencies. What you’re getting is a set of 34 expertly edited foley kicks, snares, hi-hats and percussion sounds that sound fantastic and are 100% ready for use in your next project.

The included sound effects follow a similar route, originating from audio recordings that were post-processed into some rather amazing SFX one shots. The library contains 20 sound effects in total, including noise swooshes, slams, risers and various abstract sounds. Last but not least, Massamolla contains a range of synthetic background textures, electronic bass loops and rhythmic sequences that are among the most complex and best sounding that we’ve had yet on the 99Sounds label.
