99Sounds Releases Free Radiophonic Atmospheres SFX Library

99Sounds has announced the release of Radiophonic Atmospheres, a free SFX sound library created by Red Sky Lullaby.

Radiophonic Atmospheres contains 99 royalty free sound effects and audio loops in total, sorted into three categories (Ambient Atmospheres, Outer Atmospheres and Rhythmic Atmospheres). The sounds were created by Stuart Kilbride (aka Red Sky Lullaby) who took inspiration from the experimental sound design techniques of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. His idea was to try using those same sound design methods and tricks, however adapted to a modern music production environment. The result is a fantastic collection of old school style sound effects with a contemporary vibe that will blend perfectly with a variety of music styles.

These sounds are released as royalty free for use in music production, game development and video projects. You can download them directly from the product page linked below, no signup or registration required. If you like the sounds, please consider supporting Stuart’s future work by sending him a donation via PayPal. You can also check out his recently released album called Very Own Special Day and follow him on Facebook and YouTube.

Before you go, here’s a bit of information for those of our readers who might be unfamiliar with 99Sounds. It is a sound design label launched by Bedroom Producers Blog back in June 2014 (Rain And Thunder was the first release). Since then, we’ve released 26 sound libraries in total, featuring the work of 17 different sound designers and music producers from around the globe. The site has grown more than I’ve ever hoped it would, and we haves tons more awesome stuff coming your way soon. The next release is scheduled for August 15th, so stay tuned for that.

Radiophonic Atmospheres is available for free download via 99Sounds (382 MB download size, RAR archive, contains 99 audio samples in 24-bit WAV format).
