Loopcloud 2.0 First Look @ NAMM 2018

Loopmasters have announced that the Loopcloud 2.0 update is right around the corner, adding exciting new features such as the built-in sample shop and full DAW integration to the already impressive cloud-based sample library browser.

We caught a glimpse of the new software at NAMM 2018 and there’s no denying that the forthcoming 2.0 version of Loopcloud looks very promising. The user interface received a subtle overhaul, but the stars of the show are definitely the new in-app sample shopping features and enhanced DAW integration. This new functionality promises to unleash the full potential of a cloud-based sample management tool that is Loopcloud.

The ability to browse and preview thousands upon thousands of individual samples and loops from the countless sample libraries available in the Loopmasters catalog, as well as purchase individual items directly using Loopcloud, sounds like an amazing workflow enhancement. All of this should work in sync with your digital audio workstation’s tempo setting and your project’s key. We can’t wait to put these new features to the test in our in-depth review. For now, you can check out the brief video preview we recorded at this year’s NAMM show (embedded at the top of the page).

Loopcloud 2.0 will remain a free-to-download utility, with in-app purchases. As already mentioned, the software will provide direct access to countless Loopmasters releases, with the ability to purchase individual loops and samples (as opposed to buying the entire library). The release is expected within the next couple of weeks.
