ProF.E.T. VST/AU Plugin By Ignite Amps (KVRDC18 Winner)

The winning entry in KVR Developer Challenge 2018 is ProF.E.T., a freeware guitar distortion pedal emulation VST/VST3/AU plugin developed by Ignite Amps.

ProF.E.T. is an accurate digital emulation of a hardware high-gain distortion stompbox which was designed and manufactured by Ignite Amps earlier this year. The hardware pedal’s internal circuit was tuned to deliver tube-style saturation with plenty of harmonics and aggressive distortion. Ignite Amps created an accurate digital model of the pedal with ProF.E.T., delivering a must-have freeware plugin for metal guitarists and music producers.

The plugin features a slick user interface with a dark color scheme and an overall great looking design. In addition to the input gain and volume controls, it comes with four tone adjustment controls and a bypass switch. ProF.E.T. also features up to 8x oversampling, support for mono and stereo processing, fully automatable controls, and a built-in preset manager.

As the winners of this year’s KVR Developer Challenge, the team at Ignite Amps won 60% of the prize fund and a free trip to the NAMM 2019 show where they will be presenting ProF.E.T. The other highest-ranked entries in the contest are:

We would like to congratulate this year’s winners and send a huge thank you to all developers who participated and to KVR Audio for organizing such a great contest. We’ve seen so many fantastic freeware plugins in the previous iterations of KVRDC and here’s hoping that there will be many more to come.

ProF.E.T. is available for free download via KVR Audio (6 MB download size, ZIP archive, 32-bit & 64-bit VST/VST3/AU plugin formats for Windows & macOS).

Love the Ignite Amps game of creating digital emulations of genuine custom-built pieces of gear for players that are obviously quite specific about what they want or at least can explain their needs and figure it out from there.
I’ve really been pretty much nowhere around Tomislav my friend, So had no idea a developer’s challenge was on, So I’m both gutted but excited to try to try everything out which was released.
It’s been such a handful with My two Children as a single, full-time Father that I have had to pretty much put all my stuff on hold, Still, I, of course, don’t hesitate as the two of them I vowed to put above all else and I always hold Myself to the very words I stated or notes I made. My oldest, Luke turned 16 earlier this year, That seems crazy at 34 and with my Molly, My Daughter just shy of 14, It seems only yesterday they were little kids.
So that is where I’ve been instead of being able to dedicate anything in the way of time to audio, However, I will be back as soon as I’m able to be, Awesome to see BPB and Rekkerd, KVR…etc. still all up and doing well by the looks of things, I do hope that You have been well and that life has been treating Yourself, Family and loved ones equally great Tomislav, Cheers and hope to catch up soon fella,
