ZamplerSounds is offering the free DRMR virtual drum instrument and a collection of affordable sound libraries for the free Zampler plugin.
We’ve featured Beat Magazine prominently on BPB, not only because they’re one of the top production mags around but also due to the amazing free software and soundware they publish regularly. Here at BPB, we are big fans of their free Zampler plugin.

ZamplerSounds is a place where you can find a bunch of content that was released by Beat magazine. This includes the free DRMR virtual instrument and a collection of sound libraries for Zampler.
Here’s a quick look at the included content.
ROEHRICH 12AX7 – The 12AX7 in the name refers to the popular tube model, a staple of modern guitar amps, perfect for lead and bass.
Bassaker 808 – You know what this is. It’s an 808 bass plugin. However, this one features full chromatic tuning, an envelope, an LFO, multiple voices, and glide.
Juno Collection – Would you like a Juno? How about two? Of course, you would. Juno Collection offers limited controls but comes with over 100 presets sampled from the original devices.
Chillout Xpander – A ROMpler providing for warm, lush, soft sounds perfect for Norwegian black metal. No, it’s for chillout.
Synth Orchestra – The second in Zampler Sounds’ “Rapid” series, focusing on the orchestral sounds that older string machines could produce. I’m personally a huge fan of these. They’re a must-have if you’re doing anything even remotely synthy and mellow.
Drumbox – A Collection of drum sounds tailor-made for use in hip-hop.
DRMR – Finally, there’s DRMR, possibly the best-known of these. It’s completely free and, while simple, comes with everything you might need to make drum beats. The instrument includes 178 ready-to-use drum kits for a variety of genres, sampled from unique and modern classics like the AirBase, Analog Rytm, Dreadbox, DrumBrute, and more.

onThe download link doesn’t appear to include the Mac AU (component) version of the plugin. Am I missing something?
It would also be great if we had access to the individual .wav files themselves, but this doesn’t appear to be an option either.
Feel free to correct me if I’ve made a mistake! :)

onHi Doubleyou, you’re correct, the AU has been added now. Thanks for the advice!

onThe recent Beat issue is a great bargain to pick up for only €5. It comes with 2 big libraries for Zampler (Nordic Nature and Analog Warrior, all in all 199 patches) as well as DDMF The Strip ($49 value), and a Beat Special Version of Voltage Modular, that contains USD75 in extra modules compared to the free version. And you also get the PDF version of the magazine also now in English, this issue contains an in depth interview with BT :-)
