Ujam is giving away its UFX Reverb and multi-effects plugin ($49) for free for a limited time only.
The UFX Reverb is a 64-bit exclusive release for macOS and Windows available in VST2, VST3, AAX, and AU2 formats.
The plugin is still a fairly recent release, having dropped in July 2023.
However, there seem to be some technical issues surrounding the giveaway.
When I went to access the product page, the website timed out and just gave an error message.
I eventually got the page to load. However, note that you’ll want to approve the Ujam cookie request that pops up when the page loads, as the checkout didn’t work until I approved it.
Additionally, the UFX Reverb can be installed using the Ujam app or within your Ujam account.
So don’t complete the checkout without first creating an account. When I did, all I got was an order receipt and order management emails—no download links.
Now, if the site works for you and you’ve gotten your mitts on the UFX Reverb, what can it do for you?
Ujam describes the release as a studio quality reverb engine for making realistic rooms and ambiences.
The plugin offers 10 reverb models, namely Basic, Room, Hall, Plate, Spring, Digital, 80s, Warm, Gated, and everybody’s favorite, Reverse.
You can further tweak these models through the Dimension and Character sections, which cover parameters such as density, room size, damper and modulation.
The plugin is capable of creating reverb presets with a click-through intelligent randomization, and there are 100 presets included, which range from realistic to creative.
Ujam has also included Ducking, Freeze, Multimode Filter and Finisher sections for sound design.
This feature set is designed to make UFX Reverb more than just a verb – it’s made to help you get really creative with a track and create fresh new sounds.
There are multiple official and unofficial demos that showcase the features and sound of UFX Reverb on YouTube, so it’s easy to hear if the release is down your alley without a download.
Ujam also hosts an audio demo of a full track with plenty of verby goodness embedded on the product page.
UFX Reverb is a Windows 10 – Windows 11 release, or for macOS Catalina (10.15) — macOS Sonoma (14).
Download: UFX Reverb (FREE until October 31st, 2024)

onThanks for the heads-up, Stephen. Yes, I also had trouble getting the plugin. First, it looked like UJAM only asked for an email address. As you said, it is best to first open an account with them, and then request this free deal.
Stephen Charlton
onOK, thanks for reading. Interesting to hear that I wasn’t the only one who had trouble with it.
Kadir
onIs this completely free or will they take it back after 4-5 months like their other free plugins?
Rox Roll
onThe orginal price is $49 and free until Oct 31st.
Carby96
onThe original question still needs answering … It is not really free if only for an unspecified limited period of time. UJAM have done that before. It makes me trust them less as it is misleading.
The previous price before is no indication of whether it is indefinitely free or not. What’s the point of cluttering up our hard drives more if it is only for a limited period, unless to trial it, it IS actually a trial being misleadingly hyped as ‘free’ if they shaft users once they bring out another version. Ethical companies often leave the initial free version intact.
mx
onare you talking about that finisher micro thingy? ujam actually told people what to do in order to keep using it for free.
they did not take it back in that sense.
so it seems that we have another discussion going on about things based on half-information….
Carby96
onYes I was talking about that … I didn’t know of any such info from Ujam. I will google it. Thanks for clarifying.

UJAM
onThe REVERB license is ‘purchased’ for $0, so it’s free and will remain in your account.
DRIVE was free and didn’t require registration until this past June. We notified users directly (if we had their contact info) and announced the change in several places to give them the opportunity to register the updated version for free. If you had DRIVE prior to the change in June 2024 but didn’t get our notification we’d encourage you to ‘Submit a Request’ on our website so that we can help resolve this.
MICRO is still free and can be acquired by signing up for our newsletter.
So we have made a couple changes, but haven’t taken back licenses and have no intention of starting that with REVERB.

onthey took nothing liar

onI had no issues getting the deal whatsoever, but I can’t remember if I logged into my account first. For those who, like me, don’t want to install the UJAM App, the installer can be downloaded here:

JonB
onThanks! It’s so stupid that they don’t have the link for the plugin installer in the account/products section. They obviously want people to use their UJAM App, but it shouldn’t be so difficult for people who don’t want to use it to download their plugins.
Numanoid
onThanks, that stuff they have hidden deep in their website
Sylvan
onThanks a lot for that!
I’m on Linux and the UJAM App didn’t work, but the single installer works fine.
Brad Mc
onOn Mac, upon installing it, it asked for rights… I dont remember any of my other UJAM products asking that. Nothing is free.
Brad Mc
onFull Disk Access
Stephen Charlton
onHard to understand why on Earth they’d need that.
Hell'ektrix
onDamn… I bought it recently…
Great reverb, really easy to make rumble kick with it.
Brad Mc
onFull Disk Access rights…
Saxophone
onUjam request disk access only for it’s install service, not the app itself. Likewise if you are into video, services like fxfactory ask for the same.

onGery and Stefan are the real MVPs
Paul
onDon’t bother trying, folks. Plugin Boutique has already rescinded the code due to abuse as this deal was only meant for Loopcloud subscribers. Giving out this type of discount code is essentially software piracy and whoever leaked it should be ashamed.
a
onit still works
Ron ronron
onthanks a ton homie!
sean
onThe UJam app they make you use to download their plugins is excessively large. It’s the reason I no longer use any of the great apps they make; the UJam took up too much of my precious storage space
Stephen Charlton
onIf you look in the plugin guide document linked the product page, there is instructions on how to install the plugin without the app. You can do it your Ujam account without the need for the app.
UJAM
onThe UJAM App is 483 MB on macOS (similar to other DAW/Plugin managers).
The content is rather sizable (mostly from the samples), but can be stored on another drive by moving it manually or using symlinks.

Standalone installers can also be downloaded from our support page.

Hope this info helps.

onthanks!
Pissed _off
onI’m pissed off of such installers that always require you to make accounts, then install plugin manager then downloads and installs the plugin, then probably would not work on Linux either.
Please Devs just give us the plugin, take the money and “see ya later”.
Stephen Charlton
onUsername checks out! The option to just install the plugin from a link would be nice yeah.

onI’ll never understand why people are so quick to complain about the process to aquire free high quality software like this.
It’s very simple: follow the steps that are required to download, activate, and enjoy your new reverb…or don’t. Just move along to something else!
Complaining about free software just seems like such a waste of everyone’s time. No one is forcing you to do anything that you don’t want to do.
There’s plenty of free software out there. Good luck!

onBrenny, if I was a developer I’d be very glad that my potential customers pointed out idiocy like this. Make it easy to use your products.

Numanoid
onThe more reverbs the better.
But how can UFX top something like Valhalla Supermassive, which has become a go to for me during the last couple of years ?
alex
onIt can’t :) Still, it’s a nice little reverb to play with. TBH, I mostly use verbs I have been using for years. I recently remembered I had NI Raum installed – also nice, also haven’t used it once. Maybe one day … :)
Dee
onNice reverb that I’ve had for a while. Bit heavy on CPU but the pc is getting on a bit.
I had issues with the separate installers (especially the usynth stuff) so just went with the ujam app in the end. Doesn’t hog the computer when offline and an easier solution if you have many ujam instruments to keep updated etc…
