Audio Plugin Deals is giving away IK Multimedia’s Brandenburg Piano virtual instrument for free until October 3, 2024, down from a list price of $50.
The freebie is an Audio Plugin Deals exclusive and unavailable on the official IK Multimedia site.
Brandenburg Piano is a 64-bit-only release for macOS and Windows, available in VST2, VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone formats.
Brandenburg Piano provides the rich and warm sound of an iconic German piano, an immaculate 1958 Bechstein 6’8” that IK Multimedia found in San Francisco, California.
The release includes 10 piano instruments: Brandenburg Piano, Bright, Dark, Concert, Chorus, Flange, Phase 1, Phase 2, Octaves 1, and Octaves 2.
The collection includes over 1 GB of content, more than 500 stereo samples, and a soundboard Impulse Response for the Acoustic Resonance effect.
The virtual instrument draws its name from the cultural landmarks of Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate and Johann Sebastian Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto.
IK Multimedia states that the piano is made of luxurious wood, and the plugin captures the original piano’s physical heft and distinctly resonant tone.
But you don’t need to take their word for it, as IK Multimedia has provided both a YouTube demo and four embedded audio demos on the instrument’s product page.
The demos showcase the sound of Brandenburg Piano across two classical pieces as well as jazz and pop pieces.
Perhaps inspired by the German work ethic, IK Multimedia spent weeks meticulously capturing the sound of the piano with a matched pair of Neumann TLM-170R condenser mics, which they ran into top-notch preamps.
The engineers captured each note with at least six different velocities to foster a realistic playing response and retain the instrument’s nuances.
IK Multimedia describes the sound of the Brandenburg Piano as monumental and gloriously rich and states that it’s perfect for creating lush soundscapes in classical, jazz, pop, and even hip-hop.
So, if you want the grand sound of a great German piano with the convenience of running it inside your DAW, then this freebie is for you.
When I completed the checkout for the virtual instrument on Audio Plugin Deals, the process involved creating an account for the site, complete with an email address and all the details you’d usually need to provide for ordering a physical product.
Check out the deal: Brandenburg Piano (FREE until October 3rd – email required)

onDoes anybody have experience with cloning SSD harddrive ? Good or bad ?
I have been wanting to change to a bigger SSD for ages. There is a free deal on EaseUS Disk Copy Pro over at Shareware On Sale now. I have been using Ease Use Partition manager for years, a product I really like. So I wonder if I should try to make the change for real now ?

onHey Numanoid, i never cloned an ssd, i heard that an option called “trim” can be used with ssd’s and as far as i know, ssd’s on mac are “apfs” file system
When i cloned a magnetic hd i just used Mac disk Utility to clone my os etc to another hd & all was ok.
The cloned hd booted as normal by holding the option key entering startup manager & selecting the hd icon
Maybe have a look into researching this…
clonezilla.org/
It was recommended as a good clone tool as it clones everything but i haven’t used it
Good luck

onIn the past I used Paragon Partition Manager that was regularly given away free. These days I use GParted, either from a linux live cd or it’s own.
If it’s just a data ssd you can use it to partition the new disk and copy the old partition to it, resizing it to fill up the new disk in the process. If it’s your boot drive, you can copy the whole partition map to the new disk and resize partitions as you desire.

onI appreciate the new instrument. However, It installs as a SampleTank 3 instrument. I’m using SampleTank 4, and I can find the Brandenburg Pianos in the SampleTank 3 instruments, but they are greyed out and double-clicking shows an error that the library is not authorized. When I click on the Authorize button, it takes me to the IK Multimedia Product Manager, and I can see Brandenburg Piano in the Sounds tab, but there seems to be no way to authorize. I had no luck in my Google research. Anybody else run into this?

onResolved – I discovered the text below in the installation email from APD. So there was some messing around with doing an Unauthorize, a Reauthorize, and then finding the Custom Shop program to Restore Purchases. It worked.
STILL HAVING INSTALLATION PROBLEMS? TRY THE FOLLOWING:
Launch the IK Product Manager and locate SampleTank 4 within the list of ‘Software’.
Click the ‘Unauthorize’ button next to SampleTank 4 and then, click ‘Authorize’.
Next, launch the Custom Shop and navigate to your profile and select ‘Restore Purchases’.
Finally, launch SampleTank 4 and verify that the sound content is accessible.
In case you have any issues with activation, you can shoot an email to support@ikmultimedia.com – they will be happy to assist.
