IK Multimedia’s legendary SampleTank 4 collection is still available for $1 on HumbleBundle. And this is the last call, as the deal ends on October 9th!
HumbleBundle has historically been a great place for finding deals, mostly on video games. I’ve bought many games from them myself.
However, they also occasionally have sales and bundles for other things. It’s not uncommon to find fantastic deals on software and courses for music, video editing, programming, etc.

SampleTank 4 is a powerful “sample-based workstation” for producing music, with a whopping 120GB of sounds, from 6,000 instrument presets.
It includes everything from a load of synths to guitars and basses, drum machines, ethnic instruments, and even orchestras, as well as sound FX and loops.
It doesn’t stop there, either. SampleTank 4 features fantastic production tools such as an Arpeggiator, Strummer, Pattern Player, and Loop Manager.
There are also 70 great-sounding effects, including amps, distortions, EQs, compressors, and time-based FX like reverb, delay, and modulation.
In this regard, SampleTank 4 seems fairly similar to Kontakt, and at only $1, it is a steal.
SampleTank 4 is perfect for both studio recording and live performances. You can save patches by layering up to 16 different instruments, and fully customize the note range for each.
You can mix the layers however you like with the provided FX. It even has 16 individual stereo outputs, which would be great for more involved “in-the-box” mixing.
As mentioned earlier, there are 3 other tiers available for this bundle, where you’ll get full versions of some of the instruments included in SampleTank 4, plus SampleTank 4 itself.
