Tokyo Dawn Labs’ TDR Kotelnikov GE compressor is now available for just $10, down from $50, in a 80% off deal exclusively available at Plugin Boutique.
Tokyo Dawn Labs lists TDR Kotelnikov GE as a release for macOS (VST2, VST3, AU, AAX) and Windows (VST2, VST3, AAX).
The dev notes that it is 64-bit only, except for the VST2 and VST3 Windows versions, which are available for both 32 and 64-bit.

Tokyo Dawn Labs developed TDR Kotelnikov GE as a flexible wideband dynamics processor with a high fidelity dynamic range control.
The dev describes the sound of TDR Kotelnikov GE as stealthy, noting that it can make dramatic alterations to the dynamic range while preserving the signals’ original tone and punch.
The plugin UI refers to it as a mastering compressor, while Tokyo Dawn Labs states that it is perfectly suited to stereo bus compression, among other applications.
In support of this, the plugin offers advanced stereo linking options optimized for the stereo bus.
The TDR Kotelnikov GE (Gentleman’s Edition) is the full version of the basic Kotelnikov release, with the latter being available as a freeware plugin.
In addition to the freeware featureset, the GE version adds equal loudness workflows, customisable frequency-dependent ratio, and a sidechain high pass filter with continuously variable access over slope and frequency.
The GE version also adds Yin and Yang modes for alternating the harmonic pattern of the squeeze, and an “insane” quality mode for boosting the processing fidelity.
Tokyo Dawn Labs released TDR Kotelnikov back in December 2014. Although it’s getting on in years now, I think it’s fair to say the Kotelnikov comps developed a rep as an indie plugin classic, and still have their fair share of keen users to this day.
