Sunbunny releases Panoramatone FREE vintage-style vibrato plugin

Sunbunny has released Panoramatone, a free analog-style vibrato plugin for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Panoramatone is a true stereo vibrato effect that adds movement and gentle pitch changes with a vintage feel.

The workflow is super simple, and it sounds nice. You can use it to quickly get smooth pitch shifts, a bit of warmth, and stereo width for motion that sounds natural.

The main controls are pretty straightforward. Rate adjusts how fast the modulation moves, Depth sets how much the pitch changes, and Width lets you choose between a focused or wide stereo effect.

Drive and Warmth add gentle saturation for a vintage touch. Smear makes the modulation smoother by softening sharp pitch changes. There’s also a Mix knob for blending and an Output control to match levels.

I tested Panoramatone this morning, and it gives a nice vintage shimmer, especially on guitars and synths. It’s simple by design and uses very little CPU, so you can add it to your session quickly to see if it’s a good fit.

I like how it sounds and how fast you can get a good result. If you like trying out modulation effects, especially for gentle movement on long notes, give it a shot. It’s not revolutionary, but it’s a fun way to get that nostalgic vibrato sound.

My only gripe is the interface. It has a minimalist design with warm colors and nicely arranged knobs, which is nice. I like the general look and the simplicity.

That said, I’d prefer a bit more visual separation between certain sections. All knobs share the same style and weight, so grouping Mix and Output separately from Drive and Depth, for example, could improve clarity. I hope we’ll see this in a future update.

Panoramatone is available as a free VST3 plugin for Windows 10 or later (64-bit), macOS 11 Big Sur or later (Intel and Apple Silicon), and modern Linux distributions such as Ubuntu 20.04+ and Fedora 34+. It runs in any VST3-compatible host.
