Temecula DSP now emulates the classic Alesis Microverb reverb unit

Get two classic Alesis reverb unit emulations FREE from Temecula DSP (macOS and Windows)
Temecula DSP is offering two classic Alesis reverb unit emulations (MDV-II & MCV-I) for macOS and Windows for free!
It was just around a month ago when we covered MDV-II by Temecula DSP.
MDV-II is a faithful emulation of the classic Alesis Midiverb II, one of the most iconic budget-friendly pieces of hardware ever made.
So, why are we talking about it again?
Well, Temecula DSP is now offering two Alesis classics for free: MDV-II and MCV-I.
While the Midiverb II is generally the most sought-after model from the Alesis Midiverb and Microverb lineups, the Microverb I (or MCV) has a strong following in its own right.
The smaller and cheaper Microverb I is still loved by many musicians, especially for grittier 90s-style or lo-fi recordings.

Although both units have a distinctly digital character, the Microverb I is generally considered a little rougher around the edges, with a darker, dirtier sound.
The Microverb I has just 16 presets and offers very little control; the hardware unit features Input, Mix, and Output knobs.
Temecula DSP has recreated all sixteen presets (six Small, seven Large, two Gate, and Reverse reverb) and added an EQ knob.
Reverse reverb sometimes divides opinion, but it’s great when used well, and if you like it, you should also check out the free and open-source RVRSE plugin by Samual Ferraz-Leite.
Both Temecula DSP plugin models are available from a single installer in AU, VST3, and AAX formats for macOS and Windows.
If you previously downloaded Temecula DSP’s MDV-II, you’ll notice that this new download comes with an updated GUI.
It’s a very slight departure from the original look, but nothing unfamiliar.
It also features a dual-engine architecture that supports multiple processing modes and allows chaining two different programs.
The download is instant, there are no forms to fill in, and you don’t need to provide an email unless you want to sign up for the newsletter.
Temecula DSP calls the Midiverb II “the bedroom producer’s secret weapon,” and that’s a fair assessment.

The Alesis classic has graced so many tracks for good reason and continues to do so.
Adding the MCV-I is the icing on the cake.
