Alive Machine has released The Tunnel Kit and The Knife Kit, two freeware sound FX sample packs.
The Tunnel Kit is a sample kit based around recordings taken inside and around a tunnel. These original sounds were then transformed with convolution. All sounds in the Tunnel Kit were individually chosen for their unique characteristics and potential for inspiration. Some of the original recordings are included along with the processed sounds for a high level of flexibility in sound design.
The Knife Kit includes klangs, drones, and other electro-mechanical SFX. All sounds in this kit originated from a heater being struck with a varied selection of knives, including the one on the cover. After recording, a range of processing and editing was used to transform the sounds into the SFX in this kit.
