Thunder VIP has released Granular Transitions 1, a set of 70 free granular samples suitable for cinematic sound design.
Suitable for cinematic sound design and audio experimentation – Granular manipulations resulting in weird impacts and transitions. First I made various recordings of me hitting and breaking stuff – then manipulated them using Granite by new sonic arts. Its a nice tool for sound creation (these sounds also have a tape saturation over the top of the output as I was experimenting with that at the same time).
Theres more packs to come – like granular vocal grunts – and more musical loops and things – just need to find the time to cut them and then up them. Release under creative commons. If you like it – share it around. Peace.
