linuxDSP has released DSR500, a freeware de-esser tool in 32-bit and 64-bit LV2 plugin format (Linux only!).
Similar in operation to the classic dbx902 hardware de-esser, the DSR500 is designed to remove excessively sibilant sounds from vocal tracks.
DSR500 is available for free download via linuxDSP (3.2MB download size, no registration required, 32-bit & 64-bit LV2 plugin).
I’m sure this is the first Linux-only freebie featured in BPB’s news section! linuxDSP have several Linux exclusive plugins in their online shop, so check them out if you’re on a Linux based DAW.
