Satson CM - Free Channel Strip VST Plugin In Computer Music #183

The latest issue of Computer Music includes Satson CM, a channel strip emulation VST/AU plugin developed by Sonimus.

This issue’s awesome free software is a console channel emulation plug-in for PC/Mac (VST/AU) that’s designed to deliver authentic analogue tones.

Since last month, online editions of Computer Music also include the DVD content, so you can get this neat mixing tool for £2.49 (+ VAT) via Zinio. You’ll also get the sample content, as well as the whole CM Studio software collection!

From what I could gather, the limitation of Satson CM is that it only includes Satson Channel (the full edition of Satson also includes Satson Bus). I’ve used Satson in the past and it’s a good plugin. I especially like its HP/LP filters, which are extremely transparent. Highly recommended if you need a natural sounding set of filters!
