Tokyo Dawn Labs has released a stable version of Feedback Compressor II, a freeware mixing and mastering RMS compressor for Windows and Mac.
After an insanely long beta phase, I am proud to announce the final version of the Feedback Compressor II. The compressor is dedicated to the highest fidelity stereo program (2-buss) compression, but shines equally in classic mixing tasks.
Feedback Compressor II is available for free download via Tokyo Dawn Labs (6.9MB download size, 32-bit & 64-bit VST/AU plugin format for Windows & Mac).
What’s different about this compressor is that it analyzes the signal on the output, rather on the input. This results in a highly transparent sound, suitable both for mixing and mastering tasks.
On a related note, Tokyo Dawn Labs has recently announced a forthcoming freeware de-esser called Sibilance Controller. Seriously looking forward to that one!
