Versilian Studios has released Xylophone, a free (for 3 days only!) Native Instruments Kontakt sample library and VST/AU instrument based on high quality xylophone samples.

This virtual instrument includes three different mallet settings, recorded with two sets of microphones including Round Robin and multiple velocity layers for loads of fun! NB: This product uses the mod wheel.

Xylophone is available for free download via Versilian Studios (190 MB download size, you can pick between a NKI instrument for NI Kontakt and a 32-bit or 64-bit VST/AU instrument for Windows & Mac).

The plugin is distributed on a pay-what-you-want basis until September 2nd! After that, it will become a commercial product. If you choose to donate some funds in the meanwhile, you can get some really nice rewards including several interesting Versilian Studios products.

Xylophone features two RR variations and two velocity layers. Three different mallet settings have been recorded and implemented. There’s also a choice between two different microphones which can be mixed together.
