Swiss plugin developer THE INTERRUPTOR has released Bionic Supa Delay, a freeware delay effect VST plugin based on their legendary Bionic Delay effect for Windows.
This is an improved version of the popular “Bionic Delay” which is in use in many studios since over a decade. The new version was developed in a joint effort with Dub producer Russ D (The Disciples) who proposed to include additional features which are helpful for live Dub mixes.
Bionic Supa Delay is available for free download via THE INTERRUPTOR (2.6 MB download size, ZIP archive, 32-bit VST plugin format for Windows, made with SynthEdit).
Based on an old version of the ever so popular Bionic Delay plugin by the same developer, the brand new Bionic Supa Delay introduces several improved features and optimizations for use in live dub mixes. It was developed in tandem with dub producer Russ D in order to make it an even better tool for dub music production.

Introducing a myriad of cool new features, the Bionic Supa Delay now includes pitch shifting (with five different algorithms), a built-in reverb module with two reverb types, tape wow and flutter emulation, as well as a handy freeze function for freezing the feedback output. Other features include a filter section with 12 filter types, section disabling feature to preserve CPU, full MIDI learn for easy mapping to your MIDI control surface, a smoothing parameter for delay time changes, and so on.
This is a powerhorse delay effect, definitely worth the download if you’re running your DAW on a Windows based computer. Tape delay aficionados will have a blast experimenting with this one and dub music producers will get an amazing new tool for their delay plugin arsenal. It’s a great successor to the original Bionic Delay effect, which was often recommended as the best free delay tool for dub music production.
