Bigcat Instruments has released Bureu Organ, their most advanced free NI Kontakt instrument so far featuring church organ samples originally recorded by professional organist Lars Palo.
Originally sampled by professional organist Lars Palo and released under a Creative Commons liscense, this a 40 stop organ has been converted to Kontakt 5 by bigcat Instruments. Thanks to scripting by Matt McKay, this organ is the most extensive instrument we have ever released.
Joe Stevens, the diligent guy behind Bigcat Instruments, has been doing a tremendous work in the past several months, converting various publicly available instrument libraries to Kontakt 5 format. His latest release is an adapted version of a huge free church organ sample library, featuring the sounds of a 40 stop organ which were recorded at the church in church in Bureå, Sweden. The samples were originally recorded in stereo 24-bit format at 96 kHz samplerate.

The Kontakt 5 version of the instrument takes this sample library to the next level, offering over one hundred reverbs, a 4-band parametric equalizer, unisono mode, a stereo enhancer module, and standard modulation effects like chorus and phaser. This truly is a beast of an instrument and the options for tweaking the sound of the original church organ samples are almost limitless.
